Critics have praised Chinese Soprano XÏA Wang for her "vocal sparkle and lively stage personality", Berlin-based soprano Xïa Wang studied at the Mannes School of Music, where she was awarded the President’s Scholarship.

Winner of the 3rd International Opera and Zarzuela Competition in San Sebastian, Xïa’s future engagements include her debut at Oper Wuppertal; Adventskalendar Konzert (Deutsche Oper Berlin); A tribute to Bellini (Deutsche Oper Berlin Tischlerei/Deutsche Oper Quintette).

Currently pursuing a Konzertexamen at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, her engagements in both opera and concert include Adele Die Fledermaus (Dresdner Residenz Konzerte); Najade Ariadne auf Naxos (MusikfürMusik-Bürgersaal Zehlendorf, Berlin); Norina Don Pasquale (Ida K. Lang Hall, New York); Suor Genovieffa Suor Angelica (Tomlinson Theater, Philadelphia); Gretel Hänsel und Gretel (Haumc Art Gallery, Minneapolis); Belinda Dido and Aeneas (Skokie Theatre, Chicago & Tomlinson Theater, Philadelphia); and Pamina Die Zauberflöte (New York City Lyric Opera Theatre). Subsequent roles include Le Feu L'enfant et les sortilèges, Fiakermilli Arabella, Yniold Pelléas et Mélisande, Nannetta Falstaff, Sophie Werther, Oscar Un Ballo in Maschera; Despina from Così fan tutte, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Ilia Idomeneo, and Die Stimme des Falken Die Frau ohne Schatten.
